Well- I'm home from Melbourne and tomorrow I go back to school, it shall be painful. But I had a nice time, so I guess that I have to suffer a little to make the good things in life feel even better. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday! Here's some things that I acquired/finished in Melbourne;
Things I've acquired:
- a world map
- 5 rolls of film (stealthily collected from my nanna's house)
- 3 cute world map notebooks, plus a different notebook and some old note writing paper that I found at my nans (mmm aged yellow whee)
- Books: 'The Satanic Verses' by Salman Rushdie, 'Lolita' by Vladimir Nabokov, 'The God of Small Things' by Arundhati Roy
- a typewriter that was my mums when she was a teen, and the ink (still kind of sort of just a little but still) works
- 2 pairs of gorgeous socks
- Haigh's chocolate (no words)
- a cute 'Ritmeester' tin, holla holland!
- beautiful sock wool
- an awesome onesie
- a friend called Tammie
- and really dry skin, it was dreadful, I have never had it before... I was like flaking, it was gross and scary...
Things I've finished:
- I finished my first sock (and left my half knitted second sock at my grandmother's, d'oh)
- school work (just kidding, I didn't do what I should've)
- Sense and sensibility (thank god, it was incredibly boring but interesting... I would never read it again nor recommend it to anymore but I don't regret reading it?)
